Yacht Model "Mariette" is on Display in Boston

As part of MIT’s upcoming exhibit Lighter, Stronger, Faster; about the extraordinary Herreshoff legacy, the 1915 schooner MARIETTE is on display. This Yacht Model and many artifacts from the Hart Nautical Collection will be viewed by the public for the very first time.

Tom Perkins refit and completed a major restoration of Martiette in 1995 at Cantiere Beconcini in La Spezia, Italy.

Tom Perkins was a collector of fine art and had a tremendous passion for ship models. more
